About the Role
We are seeking a Medical Imaging Specialist to join our team at Health New Zealand | Southern. This is an exciting opportunity to be an integral part of the set-up of the Nuclear Medicine department in the new Dunedin hospital. As a key member of our Radiology Service, you will be responsible for providing top-notch reporting services for Nuclear Medicine, general CT, MRI, SPECT-CT and other radionuclide imaging. You will also contribute to administrative duties to support the service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing accurate and timely radiology reports
  • Liaising with colleagues throughout NZ and Australia to introduce new procedures and Nuclear medicine imaging
  • Participating in quality initiatives as part of your role
  • Sharing an out-of-hours on-call roster (1:6) with Radiologist colleagues

Requirements
The successful applicant will possess the following qualifications and skills:
  • FRANZCR qualification (or equivalent)
  • Vocational registration with Medical Council of NZ (or eligible for)
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
