Intake and Assessment Professional

We are seeking an experienced professional to join our team as an Intake and Assessment Professional. In this critical role, you will respond to urgent situations and work collaboratively with key partners to ensure the best outcomes for vulnerable children.
As a vital member of our 24/7 national child protection service, you will:
- Liaising with frontline staff to coordinate responses to critical situations
- Working with diverse cultural groups and individuals from various backgrounds
- Conducting initial assessments to identify the needs of children, young people, and their families
- Recording information during each call-out to capture data that can inform operational decisions
You will have the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of New Zealand's most vulnerable citizens.
Your Key Responsibilities- Full registration with New Zealand's Social Work Registration Board (SWRB)
- A social worker qualification recognised by the SWRB
- The ability to analyse and manage risk, including escalation of risk, and identify the needs of children
- Ability to make tough decisions quickly in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent verbal communication skills to adapt to your audience
- Great written skills for case notes and other documents
