Job Description

As an Apprentice - Valve Technician at SGS IVE, you will gain hands-on experience in all aspects of valve overhaul and repair work, including site visits. You will also learn to carry out valve refurbishments under supervision, undertake customer inductions, and clean and maintain SGS-IVE spaces and machinery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Learn all aspects of the valve overhaul and repair work undertaken by SGS-IVE
  • Carry out valve refurbishments as required under appropriate supervision
  • Undertake training and customer inductions to enable you to work at SGS-IVE's customer sites
  • Clean and maintain SGS-IVE spaces and machinery

Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A passion for industrial engineering and a desire to develop your valve servicing skills
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to follow technical manuals and instructions
  • Good communication and customer service skills to liaise with clients
  • A willingness to learn and expand your knowledge through hands-on training and education
  • A NZ driver's license
