Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Operational Programme Manager to support the delivery of process and project management activities across a large international development programme. The role will suit junior project managers or more experienced programme coordinators or analysts.

The successful candidate will work closely with internal teams and external suppliers to ensure effective delivery, lead procurement, contracting, and contract management of external suppliers, and require a degree of financial and budget management. Strong critical analysis and/or writing skills are also essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver projects in difficult environments, including the management of multiple projects simultaneously
  • Experience in the tendering, procurement, and contracting of work, and on contractual management of suppliers
  • Work in an international context, and have an understanding of development issues (preferred)
  • Manage budgets and finances effectively

Requirements:

  • Strong Project Coordination or Project Management experience in the public sector
  • Demonstrated ability to successfully deliver projects
  • Budget and financial management experience
  • Comfortable with processes, and experienced in driving projects through the machinery of Government
