We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused individual to join our Concierge team as a Valet Porter at InterContinental Wellington.

Your Role

As a Valet Porter, you will be responsible for greeting and assisting guests during arrival and departure, maintaining knowledge of hotel amenities and services to guide guests, managing luggage and packages for smooth check-ins and check-outs, offering recommendations and handling bookings for local attractions, dining, and transportation, and assisting guests with valet car parking and safely managing guests' vehicles.

Key Responsibilities
  • Greet and assist guests upon arrival and departure
  • Maintain knowledge of hotel amenities and services
  • Manage luggage and packages for smooth check-ins and check-outs
  • Offer recommendations and handle bookings for local attractions, dining, and transportation
  • Assist guests with valet car parking and vehicle management
What We're Looking For
  • A current full or restricted New Zealand driving license required
  • Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, approachable manner
  • Strong communication and problem-solving abilities to handle guest requests efficiently
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the local area and attractions
  • Fit and able to lift heavy suitcases
  • Flexibility to work a range of hours – including weekends & public holidays
