About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Chief Cyber Security Strategist to lead our cyber security efforts. As a key member of our ICT Services Group, you will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to protect our systems and data from cyber threats.

As a senior leader, you will have significant experience in managing complex programmes of work and leading teams of technical and specialist functions. You will also have expertise in vulnerability management, intrusion attempts, cloud security, zero trust, endpoint protection, and data exfiltration.

The successful candidate will have excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. You will also be able to demonstrate a balanced approach to cyber security best practice against operational needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Establish and maintain governance procedures for Cyber Security across Police systems
  • Be accountable for the development and direction of cyber security capability, processes and standards across Police IT systems
  • Develop and deploy appropriate and fit-for-purpose cyber secure capabilities to secure Police systems against unauthorized access and/or disclosure
  • Build the Cyber Security Centre capability to secure and maintain operational security of all Police IT systems
