About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Community Psychiatric Nurse to join our South Adult Community Psychiatric Service in Christchurch. As a key member of the multidisciplinary team, you will work in collaboration with a group of professionals to provide quality care and services to our clients.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Work in a Monday-to-Friday day shift position based at Hillmorton Hospital Campus.
  • Provide assessment, treatment, and support services to individuals with moderate to severe mental health conditions.
  • Collaborate with our Tangata Whaiora, family/whanau, primary care, community supports, and inpatient teams to develop recovery plans and provide holistic support.

What You'll Need:

  • A Full Driver's Licence, current APC, and Mental Health Nursing Scope of Practice.
  • Competency with te ao Maori, tikanga, and te reo Maori or a commitment to starting your journey and taking ownership of your learning and growth.
  • Experience in projects/initiatives which give effect to Te Tiriti principles and frameworks, and the application of Matauranga Maori and Kaupapa Maori approaches, particularly as they apply in healthcare settings.
