Job Description

The Medical Assistant assists providers with ongoing patient monitoring and chronic care management. Key responsibilities include:

  1. ">
  2. Monitoring patient blood pressure, blood sugar, and other vitals, as well as helping patients with medication adherence and scheduling medical appointments.">
  3. Communicating with patients on a regular basis to provide education and support, promoting lifestyle changes to improve long-term health outcomes.">
  4. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date electronic medical records (EMR).">
  5. Performing other duties as assigned by healthcare providers.">

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you must possess the following skills and qualifications:

  1. ">
  2. A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Medical Assistant or nurse.">
  3. Passion for working with older adults and excellent customer service skills.">
  4. Preventative patient care background preferred, with experience in primary care, cardiology, or diabetes clinics highly desired.">
  5. Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.">
  6. Strong organizational and time management skills.">
  7. Computer skills appropriate to the position, including proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) systems.">
  8. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as administrative and clerical skills.">
  9. Familiarity with medical terminology and concepts.">
