Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated individual to join our team as a Bowel Screening Program Coordinator. This is an exciting opportunity to work on a program that aims to promote health and well-being in our community.

About the Role

This role involves working with priority groups, particularly Māori and Pacific populations, to encourage them to participate in the bowel screening program. You will be responsible for providing education and support to participants, as well as following up with those who have not completed their screening tests. Your focus will be on establishing and maintaining quality systems to ensure all participants are followed up appropriately.

Responsibilities
  1. Provide education and support to participants in the bowel screening program
  2. Follow up with participants who have not completed their screening tests
  3. Establish and maintain quality systems to ensure all participants are followed up appropriately
Requirements
  • Degree in Health or Community Health Worker qualification
  • 2-3 years of experience working in public health, community health or primary care setting
  • Experience working with Pacific, Māori and multicultural communities
  • Knowledge and understanding of Tikanga Māori and Māori protocols
  • Able to speak Te Reo Māori or a Pacific language
