This role requires strong academic leadership, research management, and HR skills.
The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a team of academics and support staff, managing the department's budget, and ensuring alignment with institutional strategic goals.
Responsibilities:
- Provide academic leadership and direction to the Department.
- Develop and implement strategies for curriculum development and quality assurance.
- Maintain effective relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners.
The ideal candidate should have a relevant Doctoral qualification in Education, experience in teaching aspects of Education in the SP & FET Phase programme, and a track record of successful project management.
Qualifications:
- A relevant Doctoral degree in Education: in the Senior Phase and Further Education Training subject areas.
- A minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience, with three (3) years as a Senior Lecturer or above.
- Two (2) years' experience in evaluating Teaching Practice and two (2) years' management experience related to HOD functions (academic management, curriculum development, quality assurance, financial and HR management).
