To gear up the innovation-driven economy set out by our Research Innovation & Enterprise Masterplan, a new Enterprise Division is being established. This division will strengthen A*STAR in generating economic and societal impact for Singapore. It will provide coherence to our RCA, licensing, and venture creation efforts, driving our companies strategy and portfolio management. The division will also play a national role in grants administration and drive Innovation & Enterprise within A*STAR and the wider ecosystem.

Your Role in Chemical, Materials and Energy Team
  • Review technologies and prioritize their commercialization in electrification, decarbonization, and built environment areas.
  • Manage, encourage, and support intellectual property development and protection, establishing strategies to assess inventions, identify markets, and competitive technologies.
  • BUILD business partnerships and technical collaboration opportunities to commercialize research lab technologies and establish new value chains with stakeholders.

You will scope and manage specific projects to develop initiatives in innovation and IP management, including acquiring industrial grants and contracts through meetings with researchers and external entities. Demonstrate passion for working with scientists and industries to understand key challenges and find solutions, highlighting trends to accelerate spin-out, licensing, and provide leadership and oversight to achieve desired success.
