Emergency Response Planner

About the Role
We are seeking an Emergency Response Planner to join our Planning and Sector Partnerships Unit. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing emergency response plans, providing technical advice and support to stakeholders on emergency management planning and response, and contributing to the development of policies and guidelines related to emergency management.
The ideal candidate will have high level of judgement with the ability to make effective decisions in complex situations, anticipate complex problems and look for opportunities to deliver system level improvements and efficiencies. They will also have the ability to think strategically with strong initiative and problem-solving abilities, adapt in quick changing circumstances, and has high standards of professionalism, integrity and accountability.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement emergency response plans
- Provide technical advice and support to stakeholders on emergency management planning and response
- Contribute to the development of policies and guidelines related to emergency management
- Work closely with social and infrastructure sectors to build resilience across the 4 Rs of risk reduction, readiness, response and recovery
