The National Emergency Management Agency (NZ) is seeking an experienced and dynamic Senior Planner - National Emergency Response to join their team. As a key member of the Planning and Sector Partnerships Unit, this individual will be responsible for developing and maintaining New Zealand's national emergency management planning framework.
This role requires a strong understanding of emergency management principles, as well as excellent communication and collaboration skills. The successful candidate will work closely with social and infrastructure sectors to build resilience across the 4 Rs of risk reduction, readiness, response, and recovery in support of communities.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of delivering high-quality work under pressure, with a strong focus on adaptability, agility, and resilience. They will also possess a high level of judgement, with the ability to make effective decisions in complex situations.
