Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Band 5 nurse to join our team as an Island Community Nurse. This role offers the opportunity to develop new generalist skills and build on your experience in a challenging yet rewarding environment. You will work on a rotational basis and be part of a small health team delivering care to the island population. Your adaptability, resourcefulness, and professional accountability will enable you to thrive in this role without the resource of a hospital at hand.

Responsibilities

• Assessment, planning, and monitoring of the quality of health care within the community across the lifespan• Community and practice nursing, including emergency cover as required with 24 hours on call when on duty• Collaboration with the health team to deliver high-quality care to the island population

Requirements

• Experienced Band 5 nurse with up-to-date clinical knowledge and skills• Ability to work in a remote and rural setting with limited resources• Strong communication and teamwork skills• Professional accountability and adaptability• Interest in developing a wide range of skills in a challenging environment
