The Opportunity
Xero is seeking an experienced data engineer to lead our high-performance data platforms. As a Principal Data Platform Engineer, you will be responsible for owning Xero's capabilities for data platforms that empower teams to use data from across our systems safely and at scale. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement data platforms that meet business requirements.

Main Responsibilities
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement data platforms that meet business requirements
* Lead initiatives to grow platform capabilities across Data, Data Science, AI, and Engineering
* Use your engineering expertise to drive improvement of the engineering system
* Foster a sense of community and develop the capabilities of the engineering teams
