Cultural Leader Job Summary:

We have an opportunity for a Kaumatua who is able to provide in-depth guidance, advice, direction and support at clinical and cultural levels within Tāwhirimātea inpatient unit, Regional Rehabilitation services, Te Korowai Whariki, MHAIDS.

About the Position:

  • This is a part-time position based in Tawhirimatea inpatient unit.
  • The ideal applicant will be a highly motivated Maori cultural leader.
  • Positive attributes include knowledge of Tikanga, maintaining the Kawa and Kaupapa of the service, and providing guidance to mental health services on issues relating to Tikanga Maori.
