Job Description: Software Engineer (Intermediate)
We're seeking an exceptional Software Engineer to join our innovative team at Mercury. You'll work in an agile environment, contributing to all phases of the software development life cycle.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Writing clean, scalable, and maintainable code following best practices that meet business requirements
- Building and maintaining APIs and integrations across various systems
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure cohesive project execution
- Debugging, testing, and troubleshooting software to optimise performance and resolve issues
- Participating in code reviews to improve code quality and share knowledge
- Supporting continuous improvement by staying updated on new technologies and incorporating them as relevant to enhance our products and ways of working
- Documenting software solutions and processes for future reference and team understanding
Requirements and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you'll need:
- Tertiary degree or similar level qualification in a technology-based discipline
- 3-5 years of experience in software development, with hands-on experience in C# .NET Core in an enterprise environment
- Familiarity with microservices architecture and event-driven systems, with a desire to deepen your knowledge in these areas
- Experience with RESTful API development and understanding of API best practices
- Working knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and exposure to tools like Git source control, including Azure Dev Ops/Git Hub
- Familiarity with TDD and experience with unit testing
- Understanding of SOLID principles and ability to write clean, maintainable code
Salary and Benefits
The estimated annual salary for this position is $110,000. As a Mercury employee, you'll enjoy additional benefits, including:
