About the Position

New Zealand Red Cross is seeking a skilled Procurement and Asset Management Advisor to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing contracts and assets, ensuring compliance with legal guidelines, and developing procurement frameworks.

Main Duties

  • Manage contracts from inception to conclusion, including negotiation, execution, and termination.
  • Develop and implement procurement strategies to achieve cost savings and improve efficiency.
  • Oversee the maintenance of asset registers and work with asset management systems and tracking technologies.
  • Collaborate with suppliers to secure the best prices for assets and centralised procurement contracts.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations regarding contracts and asset management.

Essential Qualifications

">

A degree in business management or commercial law, combined with significant experience in contract management and procurement, is required.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.

Excellent knowledge of contract law and procurement principles, with the ability to apply this knowledge in a practical setting.
