The Paediatrics Department at Nelson Hospital is a secondary-level service with strong links to tertiary services across New Zealand. The team includes a dedicated group of paediatricians, experienced paediatric nursing staff, and allied health professionals (dietitians, speech-language therapists, and physiotherapists). Our facilities include a 10-bed inpatient paediatric ward, level 2 Special Care Baby Unit (SCBU) with the capacity to provide care for neonates from 32 weeks' gestation, and comprehensive outpatient clinics for a range of conditions.
We are committed to delivering family-centred care, focusing on improving health outcomes and fostering strong relationships within the community. The successful candidate will be enthusiastic, experienced, and passionate about providing quality services to improve the health of neonates up to early adolescence in the Nelson region.
