Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Consultant Haematologist to join our dynamic team at Head Medical in the beautiful Nelson region. The successful applicant will provide expert diagnosis, treatment, and management of haematological conditions for patients in the area.

About the Role
  • Lead and participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to ensure comprehensive patient care.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement treatment plans and quality services to improve the health of the population in Nelson Marlborough.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and research to advance haematological care.
  • Contribute to the education and training of our growing junior medical workforce.
Requirements
  • Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP) with subspecialist training recognized by the Haematology Society or equivalent overseas qualification.
  • Eligibility for an Annual Practising Certificate and vocational scope of Internal Medicine with the Medical Council of New Zealand.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team to promote a cohesive team culture of collaborative practice, openness, humour, and respect across disciplines.
