As a Whanau Support Worker, you will be responsible for providing one-on-one support to individuals with disabilities in their own homes and communities. Your role will involve assisting them with daily activities, such as personal care, household chores, and socializing, to promote independence and confidence.

Key Responsibilities
Some of your key responsibilities will include:

  • Providing one-on-one support to clients in their own homes and communities;
  • Assisting with daily activities, such as personal care, household chores, and socializing;
  • Maintaining accurate records and reporting any concerns or issues to the management team;

Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with our clients and their families. Previous experience in a healthcare setting, particularly working with youth, is preferred. A full driver's license and owning your own vehicle are essential requirements, as you will be required to transport clients on occasion. Additionally, you must be passionate about supporting people with disabilities and have a desire to learn new skills and achieve outcomes.
