About the Role

This Automation Engineer position involves working closely with our team of testing experts across the country. You will contribute to designing and developing automation scripts, maintaining existing ones, and implementing new technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, execute, and maintain automation scripts to promote an automation-first approach.
  • Design automation test frameworks to enhance efficiency.
  • Collaborate with the team to create test strategies that provide measurable returns on investment for clients.
  • Research and implement new technologies and approaches to fuel our automation, quality engineering, performance, and DevOps communities.

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • Demonstrate effective application of agile project activities and techniques such as stand-ups, iteration planning, Kanban card walls, and retrospectives.
  • Familiarity with test automation frameworks like Selenium, Playwright, or similar.
  • Strong working experience with programming languages such as Java, Typescript, and object-oriented programming principles.
  • Understanding of automated API testing using tools like Rest Assured, Jmeter, Karate, SuperTest, or similar.
  • BDD concepts and experience with tools like Cucumber, SpecFlow, and JBehave.
  • Possession of testing experience and passion for it.
  • Experience particularly in web front-end and REST services.
  • Ability to draft, distribute, and socialise formal documents like project reports, artefacts, and knowledge base.
  • Familiarity with GIT and versioning.
  • Excellent communication skills.
