Job Description

The role of Statistical Analyst is part of our Psychometrics, Reporting, and Statistics team within the wider Data, Evaluation and System Performance team.

This team provides data, analyses and statistics to support NZQA in administering the NCEA qualification and NZ Scholarship examinations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyse and interpret large datasets using parametric and non-parametric statistical analysis techniques.
  • Work closely with an experienced Principal Statistician and other team members to develop and implement reporting solutions.
  • Provide high-quality data insights and recommendations to stakeholders.

Requirements

  • A strong understanding of statistical concepts and methods.
  • Experience working with R and Microsoft Office products (Excel required).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
