About the Job
We are seeking a seasoned Director of Business Development to join our team at Gated Talent. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for leading one of our key sector coverage teams and reporting directly to the Head of Global Corporate and Investment Banking.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to work closely with internal stakeholders and colleagues within the broader MUFG network to ensure optimal client coverage. You will also be responsible for managing a portfolio of existing clients based in New Zealand and originating and executing transaction opportunities.
Your Responsibilities
- Manage a portfolio of existing clients based in New Zealand
- Originate and execute transaction opportunities for existing clients across the bank's product capabilities
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders and colleagues to ensure optimal client coverage
- Lead the promotion of products to customers and identify cross-selling opportunities
- Be the first point of contact for all client needs across a portfolio of existing clients
- Assist and support the execution of value-added solutions involving event financing, loans and bonds, project financing, advisory, transaction banking and global markets flow products
- Lead and support the team to build effective relationships with key customers to develop new business and deliver extraordinary customer experiences
Your Qualifications
- 7-10 years' experience within banking, finance or relevant sector experience
- Undergraduate Business / Commerce / Law Degree from a leading university
- Demonstrable experience in excellent client coverage and leadership
- Extensive market and industry knowledge
- Strong business acumen and ability to develop new revenue/cross-selling opportunities
- Good communication skills with the ability to influence others
- Strong stakeholder management skills to collaborate with other departments
- Previous experience in a leadership role providing guidance and mentorship to a developing team
