At Evolve Rehabilitation, we provide a safe and structured environment for our clients to recover from traumatic brain injury or stroke. Our team guides and supports clients through their rehabilitation journey, empowering them to regain independence and re-learn daily activities.

The Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our team as a Rehabilitation Assistant. The successful candidate will report to the Residential Team Leader and be responsible for carrying out clients' rehabilitation plans. This will involve empowering clients to complete daily tasks, with oversight, direct assistance, or prompting as required.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Carrying out clients' rehabilitation plans in a safe and supportive environment.
  2. Empowering clients to complete daily tasks, with oversight, direct assistance, or prompting as required.
  3. Reporting on clients' progress and supporting them to participate in various activities.
  4. Assisting with personal care and helping clients progress along their rehab journey towards their goals and independence.
Desired Skills and Experience

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • A polite and friendly manner, with a key focus on providing a positive experience for our clients.
  • Ideally hold a NZQA qualification, or studying toward a certificate in Health & Wellbeing.
  • Good command of the English language, both in written and oral communication.
  • Preferably hold a current first aid certificate.
  • Hold a clean and current full driver's license.
  • Ability to make independent decisions and work effectively alongside others.
  • Demonstrate excellent self-management and time management.
  • Have a 'can do' attitude and work well in a team.
  • The ability to cover rostered and rotating shifts (am, pm, nights - including weekends).
