This role sits within our Response and Resilience Manager's portfolio, supporting Council, communities, and agencies in understanding hazards, planning for risk, and developing preparedness against disasters.
Main Responsibilities- Foster networks with communities and agencies to increase resilience.
- Educate communities about natural and man-made hazards.
- Develop and enhance emergency response plans.
- Tertiary degree or equivalent experience in emergency management.
- CDEM sector training via the Integrated Training Framework.
- Demonstrated decision-making under stress.
- A positive attitude and commitment to disaster resilience.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Facilitation and technology skills.
- Cultural awareness and NZ drivers' licence.
