Our team is dedicated to providing high-quality services to a population of approximately 643,000, across five inpatient sites in the West and North of Auckland, and stretching to the community in Rodney.
Job Description
We are seeking exceptional Healthcare Assistants to join our highly dedicated and enthusiastic teams at North Shore Hospital (Auckland). As an innovative and forward-thinking health care provider, we are looking for experienced professionals to assist Registered Nurses with patient care, maintaining a clean and safe environment, and performing administrative tasks. Your duties will include:
- Providing patients with personal care
- Keeping the ward and equipment clean, tidy, and safely stored
- Storing and restocking supplies
- Directing enquiries and making beds
- Preparing patients for meals and documenting intake and output
Required Skills and Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have a strong motivation and genuine interest in helping others, be able to work independently and as part of a team, and possess excellent communication skills. You will also need to be physically fit, have reasonable stamina, and be able to stand and work for long periods of time. Additionally, you must be honest, reliable, and have clean and smart personal presentation.
