About the Team:

The Physiotherapy service has approximately 90 staff working across the large geographical area that is Te Whatu Ora, Waikato. We have staff based at Waikato Hospital, our secondary hospital in Thames, and our three rural hospitals in Tokoroa, Te Kuiti, and Taumaranui.

The Role:

We are seeking a dedicated physiotherapist to complement our strong acute team here at Waikato Hospital. As a successful candidate, you will play a key role in supporting our team to assess patients, design focused treatment programmes to accelerate patient recovery, and recommend suitable discharge plans to help patients progress along their care continuum.

  • Collaborate closely with peers to prioritise patient care and deliver focused and impactful therapy sessions
  • Manage a full caseload of patients and provide high-quality, safe, and effective care

Required Skills and Qualifications:

To be considered for this role, you will need to have:

  • At least 2 years of acute experience
  • Some ED and vestibular experience preferred
  • Passion for learning, adaptability to change, and eagerness to gain clinical experience across a variety of clinical areas
