Physiotherapist in Emergency Department

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced physiotherapist to join our dynamic team in the emergency department of Waikato Hospital. The successful candidate will play a key role in assessing patients and determining whether admission or clearance for home is required.
As a physiotherapist in this position, you will work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to provide accurate diagnosis and clear directives to optimize hospital flow. You will have the opportunity to develop high-trust relationships with colleagues and contribute to delivering focused and impactful therapy sessions that make a real difference to patients' lives.
The ED role is part of the acute medical team, and you will see patients in both the acute medical wards and the emergency department. This is a full-time, permanent position, 80 hours per fortnight, Monday to Friday shift pattern, with two weekends a month where you will work a Sunday to Thursday shift pattern.
