Housekeeping and Maintenance Coordinator

Job Summary: As a Housekeeping and Maintenance Coordinator, you will play a critical role in ensuring the cleanliness and safety of our secure Youth Justice facility. You will be responsible for providing high-quality cleaning services across all areas, including toilets, bathrooms, and kitchen areas. This is an opportunity to apply your skills and experience to the wellbeing of tamariki and rangatahi.
Key Responsibilities:">
- Provide a professional, high-quality, and responsive cleaning service
- Maintain office and visitor areas to a corporate standard
- Assist with catering duties for onsite meetings
- Stock and maintain cleanliness of staff areas
- Manage toiletry stock for the young people in care
- Identify and escalate hazards, risks, and issues
- Undertake stock control of all cleaning, first aid, consumables, and linen supplies
Requirements:">
- Experience working in commercial cleaning and office maintenance
- Empathy and understanding towards youth offenders
- The ability to work well as part of a team
- Resilience, flexibility, and reliability with an appreciation of privacy and confidentiality
- Outcome-focused with the ability to work unsupervised
- A full, clean New Zealand Driver's License
- Valid and current New Zealand working rights
