Role DescriptionWe are seeking a highly skilled National Technical Security Advisor to provide expert guidance on the design, implementation, and management of technical security systems. This role will ensure the safety of our people, properties, and operations across the country while maintaining compliance with ministry standards.
Main Responsibilities- Design and implement integrated security systems to protect people and property.
- Provide technical advice on security systems & technology including CCTV, access control systems, duress alarms, and screening equipment.
- Develop long-term security investment plans and manage associated budgets.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including law enforcement and other government agencies.
- Lead security-related projects, ensuring alignment with Ministry priorities and operational goals.
- A relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent experience in security systems.
- Senior-level experience in law enforcement, military, or a similar security-focused role highly regarded.
- Expertise in integrated security technologies (e.g., CCTV, alarms, access control).
- Applied knowledge of relevant legislation including Health and Safety at Work Act 2015, Building Act 2004, Court Security Act 1999 and the Radiation Safety Act 2016.
