Our team of 900 stretches from Taupo to Whangarei, providing critical health and social services on a day-to-day basis.

The Opportunity

As a Social Worker on our Shine team, you will work from our central Auckland office, our refuges, and in the community. You will work closely with clients to ensure they can achieve and maintain safety, including access to basic needs such as food, learning, employment, and equitable services.

You will also be part of a team that is renowned for its core services Enliven, Family Works, Lifeline, and Shine. Everything we do is informed by our commitment to delivering high-quality services that make a real difference in people's lives.

Your Skills and Experience

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A comprehensive understanding of the causes and dynamics of intimate partner violence;
  • Knowledge of local social systems and community resources;
  • Excellent time-management skills and ability to manage competing demands;
  • Resilience, tenacity, and determination;
  • Digital literacy, including Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel;
  • Able to contribute to an on-call roster and work outside of hours from time to time (which will be compensated accordingly).
