The Role

As a Corporate Counsel in ANZ's Legal function, you will be instrumental in delivering essential legal support to drive the business forward, particularly in the realms of digital channels, technology innovation, data collection, and governance.

You will provide expert legal advice, meticulously assess and mitigate legal risks, and ensure regulation compliance.

Your Key Responsibilities

  1. Deliver expert legal advice that minimises risks, ensures robust governance and aligns with ANZ's strategic goals, all while fostering digital innovation.
  2. Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders across ANZ, including other lawyers, Privacy Compliance, Technology, Data and Marketing teams.
  3. Provide clear, concise and practical legal guidance that empowers ANZ to make informed risk assessments.
  4. Partner with different parts of the business to provide legal support and advice on digital channels and data usage.
  5. Contribute to critical projects and initiatives such as Open Banking, privacy law advancements, and technological innovations.
