About the Role
We are seeking two Nurse Practitioners for our Central Hawkes Bay Rural Health Centre in Te Matau a Maui. This innovative new role will suit a practitioner who has experience in general adult medicine, embracing the health of older people and has a special interest in palliative care.
The focus will be primarily on daily review and clinical management of the inpatient ward and Medical Day Unit to ensure and provide safe, timely, effective care and treatment for patients closer to home. You will also have opportunity to run your own clinics working alongside geriatricians, older persons health and medical care teams and the community palliative care team.
About You
- You will bring advanced clinical skills and experience in older persons' health and palliative care with a focus on patient-centered care.
- You will possess excellent communication and collaboration skills with a compassionate, community-centered approach to patient care.
- You will demonstrate competency with te ao Maori, tikanga, and te reo Maori or a commitment to starting your journey and taking ownership of your learning and growth.
