Senior Nursing Leadership Development Opportunity

Mercy Hospice offers a challenging yet rewarding opportunity for a senior nurse to develop their clinical and professional leadership skills. As a Nurse Practitioner Intern, you will work closely with experienced healthcare professionals to enhance clinical services and improve patient outcomes.
The successful candidate will possess excellent communication and collaboration skills, enabling them to work effectively with patients, whānau, and healthcare teams. You will also be expected to participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives and demonstrate evidence-based practice.
Throughout the internship, you will receive education and leadership development opportunities, including participation in mentorship programs and regular feedback from supervisors. Upon completing your training, you will have the opportunity to consolidate your skills and knowledge during a practicum year, preparing you for a successful career as a registered nurse practitioner.
- The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years' experience in palliative care or a similar field.
- Strong academic preparation and a desire to progress to the final practicum year are essential.
