We are seeking a highly skilled Chef Manager to join our team and lead our culinary operations. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our kitchen, ensuring that all meals meet our high standards of quality and safety.
Your Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee a team of up to 20 chefs and kitchen staff, ensuring strict adherence to company recipes, policies, and food safety protocols.
- Monitor the final food products to ensure they meet quality standards and address any issues before service.
- Manage standing orders for protein and vegetables, adjusting for changes in resident numbers or requirements.
- Regularly update summary sheets for each unit as received from clinical teams.
- Place orders according to established procedures using pre-determined order forms.
- Maintain compliance with all company and government health and safety and food safety regulations.
About You:
- 15+ years of industry experience, including at least 5 years in residential catering.
- Proven track record of leadership in a residential catering setting, managing daily catering operations for a minimum of 200 residents.
- Natural leader with strong communication skills, able to train and mentor staff.
- Strong grasp of fundamental cooking techniques and ability to quickly identify and resolve issues.
- In-depth understanding of IDDSI standards and expectations within the Aged Care sector.
- Excellent computer skills, including Word and Excel.
