Job Title: Local Government Law Specialist

Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced solicitor to join our in-house legal team as a specialist in local government law. The role is part-time, working 32 hours per week, based in Thames.

About the Role

This is a generalist role that touches on almost every aspect of local government law, from public law to property & commercial law, disputes and litigation. You will be preparing agreements, licences, property instruments and giving legal advice for a wide range of projects and processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Preparing and reviewing legal documents, including agreements, licences, and property instruments.
  • Providing training and legal support to internal staff.
  • Engaging with external lawyers and consultants.

Requirements

  • A current practising certificate or the ability to hold one.
  • An eye for detail and outstanding organisational skills.
  • The ability to communicate complex legal concepts in a clear and concise manner.
