Job Description

\r

The Launch and Test Facility Design Engineer will be responsible for designing, building, testing, and commissioning advanced launch and test facilities. As a key member of the Ground Systems Engineering team, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure system functionality, develop and execute test plans, and provide real-time support during launch and test operations.

Responsibilities

  • \r
  • Design systems for storing, transferring, and conditioning fuels, oxidizers, and cryogenics.\r
  • Engineer structures/mechanisms for launch vehicles, spacecraft handling, and ground support.\r
  • Create models using 2D & 3D CAD software.\r
  • Select components and assess material compatibility.\r
  • Develop and maintain BOMs and interact with suppliers and internal teams.\r
  • Support certification of launch pad systems and maintenance programs.\r
  • Oversee certification processes to US and NZ standards.\r

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will require:

  • \r
  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical, aerospace engineering, science, or a related field.\r
  • Over 6 years of experience in a relevant engineering discipline.\r
  • Exposure to engineering management, team leadership, or project management.\r
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, autonomous environment.\r
