Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Container Terminal Team Leader to oversee the day-to-day supervision and management of operators at our Container Terminal Site. Key responsibilities include:

  • Coordinating container transfer operations while managing team workload and performance
  • Moving inbound and outbound freight accurately, efficiently, and safely within KiwiRail's workplace standards
  • Ensuring utilisation, departure time, out turn, and other KPIs are consistently achieved or exceeded
  • Developing strong relationships with stakeholders to meet customer commercial needs, operational, and delivery requirements

Required Skills and Qualifications

The successful candidate will possess:

  • A Full NZ Class 1 Driver's License; Class 2 is desirable
  • 3 years' experience in Container Terminal Operations or relevant industry
  • Fully licensed as a Container Terminal Operator (TO level 3 or above preferred)
  • Operating knowledge of CTMS/Amicus (preferred)
