Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Medical Imaging Technologist/Mammographer to join our multidisciplinary team at BreastScreen Auckland Central. This is a high impact role, serving a diverse community and making a positive difference to breast cancer outcomes.

About Us
BreastScreen Auckland Central is part of the New Zealand Government's free national breast screening programme. We pride ourselves on delivering high quality services that engage with women to detect breast cancer early, when it can be more effectively treated.

About the Role
As a Medical Imaging Technologist/Mammographer, you will work at our screening site in Greenlane, as well as our mobile screening units across central Auckland. Essential qualifications include a Bachelor of Health Science in Medical Imaging or equivalent, registration with the New Zealand MRT Board, and a current Annual Practising Certificate.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct mammography examinations for women participating in the breast screening programme;
  • Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to ensure high quality service delivery;
  • Maintain accurate records and reports.

Required Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • A Bachelor of Health Science in Medical Imaging or equivalent;
  • Registration with the New Zealand MRT Board;
  • A current Annual Practising Certificate;
  • A PC Cert in mammography or recognised Certificate of Proficiency (COP) in Mammography (desirable);
  • A willingness to pursue a PG cert in Mammography if not already qualified.
