This role involves providing peer support services to individuals recovering from eating disorders, working collaboratively with clinical staff to deliver evidence-based treatments, and promoting connections with family, whanau, communities, and other health services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop positive working relationships with clients on their eating disorder recovery journey.
  • Provide peer support services, using lived experience to inspire hope and offer encouragement.
  • Work closely with clinical staff to ensure the delivery of high-quality services.
  • Promote the importance of connections with family, whanau, communities, and other health services.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Lived experience of an eating disorder or as a carer of a loved one with an eating disorder.
  • A willingness to learn and develop skills in mental health and wellbeing.
  • A positive mindset, patience, and the capacity to be encouraging and compassionate.
