Role Overview

The Wayfinder Mana Ake Kura Kaupapa Programme In Schools is a permanent part-time position that offers a unique opportunity to make a positive difference in the lives of tamariki and whanau. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in delivering early intervention health and wellbeing guidance, support, and services within Kaupapa Maori Kura/Kura a iwi.

About the Role

This exciting opportunity has become available to work as a Wayfinder/Taiurungi, as part of the Waiariki Mana Ake Programme in Taupo and Turangi. The role presents a phenomenal opportunity to work closely with the clinical team, providing individual and group-based interventions and whole of classroom programmes in kura.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver early intervention health and wellbeing guidance, support, and services within Kaupapa Maori Kura/Kura a iwi
  • Work closely with the clinical team to provide individual and group-based interventions and whole of classroom programmes in kura
  • Form part of a culturally responsive workforce focused on building whakawhanaungatanga and relationships and walking alongside tamariki and whanau on their wellbeing journey
  • Design and deliver wellbeing support informed by tamariki and families/whanau voice

About You

We are looking for an individual who has established networks and relationships with local communities within the Waiariki rohe and enjoys working with a wide range of people. You should have:

  • A commitment to being a good Te Tiriti partner in all your actions
  • Computer competency
  • Phenomenal relationship skills and the ability to work effectively in a team
