About the Role:

We have an exciting opportunity for a dedicated Project Manager to join our Future Accommodation (Special Projects Team) within the Corporate Services Group.

In this crucial role, you will manage and deliver projects aligned with the Future Accommodation Strategy (FAS), ensuring Parliament is well-equipped for its accommodation needs over the next 30 years.

Working collaboratively, you'll ensure seamless project management for building and accommodation matters while supporting the Project Director and FAS Project Leads in strategic direction and execution.

  • Project Requirements: The ideal candidate will have 2+ years relevant experience in a project-based role with a strong understanding of project management frameworks and relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent experience.
  • Project Skills: Proven experience managing complex building projects, including cost monitoring and deadline adherence.
  • Collaborative Team Player: Collaborative team player attitude with adaptability and a shared team culture focus.
  • Strong Communication Skills: Excellent relationship management and interpersonal skills, capable of engaging with diverse stakeholders, including senior executives.
  • Familiarity with Legislation: Familiarity with relevant legislation and building contracts (e.g., Resource Management Act, Building Act, Health and Safety in Employment Act).
  • Leadership Skills: Ability to interpret plans/specifications and provide leadership to building professionals.

The starting salary range for this role is $111,343 per annum.
