Hawkins is committed to delivering exceptional projects that exceed our clients' expectations. We're seeking a highly skilled Quantity Surveyor to join our Wellington team and contribute to our growing portfolio of projects in the lower North Island.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for the financial management of projects, including setting and monitoring budgets, reviewing cost to complete, progress claims, and variations. You'll also provide accurate financial reporting and systems to ensure project success.

Key Skills and Qualifications
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience working on commercial construction projects.
  • A Degree or Diploma in Quantity Surveying or a similar relevant qualification.
  • Proven experience in commercially leading a project and independently managing all Quantity Surveying responsibilities.
  • Excellent teamwork and people skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, consultants, and senior management.
  • Strong knowledge of NZ contract law and financial literacy.
  • Advanced computer literacy, particularly in Excel.
