Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled Infrastructure Development Manager to join our team at Wellington City Council. In this role, you will play a key part in shaping the future of our city's infrastructure, working closely with our Commercial Partnerships Team and Waka Kotahi to ensure procurement activities align with their direction.

About the Role

  • Negotiate purchasing agreements and contracts that support the delivery of our transport and infrastructure projects.
  • Standardise our procurement practices to ensure efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Develop strong relationships with suppliers and third parties to achieve social, cultural, economic, and environmental outcomes.

Requirements

  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders.
  • A deep understanding of broader outcomes and how to achieve them.
  • Experience in procurement and contract management, including negotiation and relationship-building.
  • Good working relationships with mana whenua and organisations such as Amotai.
