Servicing Communities
We provide mental health services to the Wellington, Wairarapa, Manawatu, Whanganui, Hawke's Bay, and Tairawhiti districts through our Central Regional Forensic Service. Our team delivers a range of services for adults and youth, including adult inpatient, prison, and community services, as well as a national Youth Forensic service and the Fixated Threat Assessment Centre.
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Forensic Specialist Psychiatrist to join our multidisciplinary team. As a key member of our service, you will be responsible for providing high-quality psychiatric care to individuals within the justice system and the community. You will have expertise in forensic psychiatry and the ability to work collaboratively with other professionals to achieve optimal outcomes.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess:
- Vocational registration in Psychiatry with the Medical Council of New Zealand (MCNZ) or hold an equivalent qualification and be able to qualify for registration with MCNZ
- Specialty training in Forensic Psychiatry is preferred
