Role Overview

This is an exciting opportunity to join Transpower New Zealand as a Stakeholder Partnership Development Specialist. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing stakeholder planning, building and maintaining relationships with key regional stakeholders, and gathering strategic insights at a regional level.

About the Position

The Stakeholder Group within our Customer & External Affairs Division leads stakeholder engagement for Transpower, enabling the planning, building and maintaining of relationships with local and regional government, iwi/hapu, and communities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement stakeholder planning to ensure effective engagement with regional stakeholders
  • Build and maintain mutually beneficial long-term relationships with key regional stakeholders
  • Gather relevant strategic insights at a regional level to facilitate integration of Transpower's objectives and work with stakeholders' own objectives
Requirements
  • Experience in stakeholder management and engagement, including consultation to optimise projects
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships internally and externally to gain insights and manage issues proactively
  • Concise written and verbal communication skills, including conveying complex technical information to non-technical audiences
  • Understanding and appreciation of Te Ao Maori or willingness to immerse and learn
