Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Dental Therapist/Oral Health Therapist to join our team at the Waitemata District Health Board. This role presents an exciting opportunity to work in a rural setting, providing essential oral healthcare services to the community.
The successful candidate will have up-to-date clinical skills, knowledge of the Te Tiriti o Waitangi, and the ability to work effectively with whanau. They will also possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to maintain accurate patient records.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct oral health assessments and develop individualized care plans
- Provide preventive and therapeutic dental treatments
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and disease prevention
- Collaborate with the wider healthcare team to promote holistic patient care
- Maintain accurate patient records and ensure compliance with regulatory standards
Requirements:
- Registration as a Dental Therapist/Oral Health Therapist
- Up-to-date clinical skills
- Knowledge and understanding of the Te Tiriti o Waitangi
- Flexibility, organization, self-motivation, and ability to work effectively with whanau
