Job Description

The primary purpose of this role is to facilitate and optimize production of Spacecraft systems and sub-systems in a high-growth, high-consequence production environment. You will work closely with Engineers, Technicians, and subject matter experts across departments to enable effective production, test, and operation of Rocket Lab Spacecraft.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Take ownership of Spacecraft mechanical production lines
  • Utilize knowledge of common mechanical mechanisms
  • Demonstrate proven ability to deliver KPI's
  • Support build of Spacecraft mechanical systems in a hands-on capacity
  • Lead non-conformance and root cause analysis investigations
  • Create technical documentation

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Mechanical, Mechatronics, or Aerospace Engineering
  • Hands-on experience with complex mechanical systems within a manufacturing environment
  • Understanding of instrumentation, interfaces, and sensors including power supplies, accelerometers, thermocouples, RTDs, and pressure sensors
  • Familiarity with engineering change processes and implementation in production environments
