Job Description
The primary purpose of this role is to facilitate and optimize production of Spacecraft systems and sub-systems in a high-growth, high-consequence production environment. You will work closely with Engineers, Technicians, and subject matter experts across departments to enable effective production, test, and operation of Rocket Lab Spacecraft.
Key Responsibilities:
- Take ownership of Spacecraft mechanical production lines
- Utilize knowledge of common mechanical mechanisms
- Demonstrate proven ability to deliver KPI's
- Support build of Spacecraft mechanical systems in a hands-on capacity
- Lead non-conformance and root cause analysis investigations
- Create technical documentation
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Mechanical, Mechatronics, or Aerospace Engineering
- Hands-on experience with complex mechanical systems within a manufacturing environment
- Understanding of instrumentation, interfaces, and sensors including power supplies, accelerometers, thermocouples, RTDs, and pressure sensors
- Familiarity with engineering change processes and implementation in production environments
