About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Research Assistant to join our Maori Health research team at Waitemata District Health Board. The successful candidate will be responsible for collecting and managing hospital data, engaging with stakeholders, and contributing to report writing and academic publication.
Key Responsibilities
- Collect and manage the merging and cross-checking of hospital data with WHIRI databases.
- Clean the data and prepare it for analysis.
- Engage with stakeholders to ensure data relevance for Maori communities and funders.
- Contribute towards report writing and/or academic publication.
About the Team
The team is dedicated to developing innovative solutions based on research and supporting opportunities for funding and scholarships. We value collaboration, professionalism, and a commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi principles.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- A tertiary degree with three years or more experience working in health or research.
- Demonstrated experience in data management, collection, or analysis.
- Understanding of Tikanga Maori, Te Ao Maori, and Matauranga Maori.
